Olive green clay is a softer, warmer-toned member of the French green clay family. It carries the same mineral character as standard green clay but sits a step gentler on the absorbency scale, with a muted olive colour that comes from its own iron and plant mineral content.
The 100g size is the standard jar for personal use. Mixed a teaspoon or two at a time, it lasts most people several months of regular masking.
A middle path for oily and combination skin that finds standard green clay too stripping. Gentle enough for more frequent use, while still doing real work on excess oil.
Stir 1–2 teaspoons of clay with roughly an equal amount of water, floral water or aloe until you have a smooth paste. Apply to clean skin, leave for 5–10 minutes and rinse before it dries completely — letting a clay mask crack and flake is what leaves skin feeling tight afterwards. Mix in a glass or ceramic bowl with a wooden or silicone spoon rather than metal.
Keep in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Only ever mix what you need — moisture getting into the jar will spoil the rest of the powder.
For external cosmetic use. Patch test on a small area before first use, as with any new skincare ingredient.
